Western New Yorkers now have a new way to purchase adult-use recreational cannabis with Canterra, a new e-commerce and delivery platform which launched on August 7. Canterra is set to transform the way consumers explore, purchase and indulge in cannabis products in New York State.
Canterra works with more than 100 different brand partners across New York, with dozens from the Western New York area. The website began taking its first orders, and the first deliveries were made on August 11.
The platform was created to improve the cannabis shopping experience for both enthusiasts and
newcomers alike. Through an intuitive user interface, a robust product catalog and a seamless purchasing process, Canterra aims to create a trusted and convenient space for cannabis enthusiasts to explore and educate themselves about the wide array of premium products offered.
“Canterra will provide a different experience for consumers interested in trying recreational cannabis products,” said Matthew Krupp, co-founder of Canterra. “We want to revolutionize the cannabis industry in Western New York and make it something that any adult who wants to enjoy cannabis can do so comfortably and responsibly.”
Aside from delivery and the elevated user experience, Canterra is different because of its high-quality products and vast selection of trusted farmers and growers. By partnering with regional farmers, Canterra can ensure that customers are receiving only the best cannabis products available – an evolution of the farm-to-table concept.
Unlike brick-and-mortar establishments, Canterra will provide an upscale cannabis delivery service combined with an easy and discreet shopping experience.
“This new era of cannabis accessibility is a departure from the traditional dispensary that might
be intimidating to new or novice users,” said Krupp. “Canterra is providing for the first time a way for consumers to learn our high-quality products and connect with the growers that produce them without having to leave their homes. Our website makes it easy to place orders and receive them straight to their homes simply and modestly.”
Delivery is currently available in Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Wyoming, Genesee, Orleans and Monroe counties, with plans to expand its coverage area and shrink its delivery times by the end of 2023. At launch, Canterra will be offering all traditional cannabis products, from flower, pre-roll and vaporizers to edibles, concentrates, topicals and tinctures.
